The feeling of feet against ground The gentle thump The natural sound Reverberating through the living field of time and space We are not separate from all that surrounds us in this sacred place The land moves and breathes with us The water The trees Connect us to an ancient time before your name or mine Ever changing between what was and what is Our bodies grow from the soils and return again Some how we both ended up Here and now At this time Although not known All the workings of the Great Mystery Earth Mother keeps a record of all her children’s history The many beings through time who have walked upon her skin Leaving foot prints and receiving messages Speaking languages and living in impermanence Day by day the bodies come and go but the land remains Taking note and holding space Storing information in a transcendental memory bank And yet we are also the embodiment of all our past stories too For The Land Remembers me And the land remembers you
